Here on our 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Hopkins Smart Hitch back up camera and Hitch and Lighter system. Part number HM50002. Here's what your camera looks like once it's installed with your sensors. It will go right where your license plate goes. Now we're going to back up to our trailer and you can see it is in hitch mode, which is where there's a point at the bottom. It'll help us line up to our trailer ball. You can watch as we get closer it's going to go into the green line, which is a pre-detection mode, then it'll go into the yellow, which is your caution, and once it get's to the red that's going to put you within an inch or so from your target area. Now we see here in everyday mode where it's kind of squared out. more

Today on our 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty we'll be installing and taking a look at the Hopkins Smart Hitch back-up camera, part number HM50002. Now here's what our Hopkins back-up camera display looks like once it's installed. Now as we back up to our trailer with the hitch alignment system on, it will not only give us a visual look but also an audible alert. We also have the option of going through two different choices of the hitch alignment system, both giving audible alerts as we get closer to our trailer or object. Now we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. Now to begin our install we're first going to go ahead and remove the license plate. We'll set our hardware aside. more

Today on our 2003 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to be installing part number HM50002, Hopkins Smart hitch backup camera and hitch aligner. All right, this is what the smart hitch camera looks like when it's installed on our truck. You can see how it acts as a replacement bracket for your license plate, and it fits inside, and has our camera right here, and two backup sensors here and here. There's a cable that gets ran from here up along the frame and up into the cab of the truck. Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera Installation - 2004 Ford F-250

Today on our 2004 Ford F-250 well be installing the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera, part number HM50002. To begin our install well first go ahead and mount the license plate bracket with camera and backup sensor. Note as we put the bracket into position well feed the wiring pigtail that comes from the bracket between the hitch and the rear tailgate. This will feed it underneath the vehicle. Well use the new hardware provided to secure the bracket to the bumper. Now with the bracket secured well move underneath the vehicle. Well take the new wiring harness and plug into the manufacturers seven-pole. To plug into the seven-pole connector well press on the connector lock and remove it from the seven-pole connector. more

Today on this 2003 Ford F250, were gonna install part number PK015737 from Peak. Now this is the wireless backup camera monitor. Our camera is gonna get mounted just like this. You can mount it flat onto the license plate but they also give you spacers which allows you to tilt it as well. Now, when we install it to the spacers, youll notice that this line is at an angle. You can use that to point the camera up or down. more
